Kathryn (Kit) Levy Feldman is the author of The Culinary Canine: 30 Chefs Cook for Their Dogs and So Can You! (2011, Bow Tie Press, ISBN: 978-1-935484-56-1) a cookbook that celebrates the talents of thirty of America’s most talented chefs who cook for their dogs. With an introduction by noted veterinarian and columnist Dr. Patty Khuly (Miami Herald, USA Today, Huffington Post) and a cover blurb by Joan Rivers, The Culinary Canine is at once a compilation of recipes fit for man or beast and stories about making it in the dog-eat-dog culinary world. In addition to a five-city book tour, The Culinary Canine and its chefs were featured on The Martha Stewart Show, Fox and Friends and Sirius radio. In conjunction with the promotion of The Culinary Canine, Feldman maintains an online presence on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Blogger.
An award-winning journalist, Feldman’s work has appeared in Family Business magazine, Inside magazine, The Player, Princeton Alumni Weekly, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Dartmouth Alumni Magazine, Haverford College Alumni Magazine, and Kenyon College Alumni Magazine among others (combined circulation over 300,000). Feldman has profiled such personalities as Joan Rivers, Dr. Andrew Weill, Laura Schlessinger, Susie Orman, and Kenneth Cole, for which she won the American Press Association Simon Rockower Award for Excellence in Jewish Journalism.
She has written extensively on medical research (including stem cells and comparative medicine) at both the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and the Penn Veterinary School demonstrating her ability to translate complex medical research into readable and relatable print.
Feldman earned a Batchelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in English from Princeton University and a Masters of Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
